Power Audio Cutter by AML Software is a tool developed to allow you convert audio files from one format to another and select a clip by cutting a part of the file and copying it into a new one.
This program supports the following audio formats: wav, mp3, m4a, amr, wma, aac, wma, ac3, au and lets you configure output settings that include: audio codec, bit rate, sample rate, and channels.
The process is very simple, you have to open a source file and choose an output directory, then you can select start and end points by inserting them or marking them in a time line while listening to the file with the preview function. Once selected a file and the clip to cut, you have to choose an output format and configure its parameters or leave the default ones for the profile.
This application is useful for those who enjoy selecting clips of their favorite songs for different purposes like using them as a ring tone. When testing it, I had a lot of problems when I tryed to use MP3 files as a source (don't know if that is an issue with the program or a restriction of the trial version). With other formats it was fast and easy to use.
